What makes APEX Wealth Advisors different?
We distinguish ourselves by prioritizing the development and preservation of client trust first by leveraging our years of experience in wealth management to help you effectively manage market volatility, we deliver timely client communications to keep you informed, and we provide exemplary client support to ensure you are comfortable with how your money is invested. In addition, we are locally based which makes us easily accessible to help you with any questions that might arise.
How are you compensated?
We operate on a flat fee-only basis and avoid complex investments with high commissions. The flat fee percentage does not change, instead the amount we are compensated is impacted by how well your investments perform. Our incentive is based on your best interest, the better you do, the better we do. We make a point of ensuring transparency in everyway we can so there are no unexpected surprised for our clients.
Are you a fiduciary, and what does that mean for me?
We work on fiduciary basis through our Advisory accounts meaning that we operate in your best interest all of the time. Part of our difference is making sure that you are aware of all the suitable investment options that are available to you, we take the time to thoroughly educate you on each of those options to ensure that your money is working correctly for you in a way that is suitable to your risk preference.
What is your investment philosophy?
We build each of our client portfolios specific to their individual needs, incorporating their risk tolerance, time horizons and any subjective requests that they might have to help them succeed in reaching their investment goals. We offer a full array of investment options including stocks, ETFs, mutual funds, and an assortment of my involved investment strategies.
How do you customize financial plans for each client?
We use Right Capital as our financial planning software to ensure our clients have a robust and accurate process to plan for all their investment goals. Our clients have access to this financial planning tool as well to be used as reference whenever they want an update as to how their financial plan is progressing.
How often will we review and adjust my plan?
We have several scheduled client meetings each year to ensure we stay on track with our plan and we proactively reach out to address any unexpected market changes, the meeting frequency is determined for our investors on a client by client basis, meaning if some folks need more attention than others, we're here to help.
What strategies do you use to help reduce taxes?
We use several tax efficient and estate planning strategies that we employee where necessary to help reduce the tax burden for our clients. In addition, we work directly with client accountants and CPAs to ensure we minimize our client’s taxable implications.
How do you help clients prepare for retirement income needs?
We offer a full compliment of retirement income strategies for our clients including interest and dividends, guaranteed income, short-term bridges and equity growth. These strategies can be integrated with one another in order to meet the goals of our clients.
How do you decide on the right asset allocation for me?
The proper asset allocation is based on a conversation where we ensure that our clients are educated on where they currently stand, what options they have and the costs associated with those options before we determine the appropriate course of action. Asset allocation does not ensure a profit or protect against a loss.
How do you handle market downturns with clients?
We build custom portfolios for each client which consists of high-quality investments, which are properly diversified and held over a period, should the market encounter volatility, we would address that with each client to determine the best course of action. There is no guarantee that a diversified portfolio will enhance overall returns or outperform a non-diversified portfolio. Diversification does not protect against market risk.
